Community is everything at Cockatoo Kindergarten.  Our staff and families share a strong sense of identity and belonging.

Children belong first to their family, a cultural group, a neighbourhood and then the wider community. It is our job to work in partnership with families to ensure our children share that connection and have every opportunity to contribute to their world.

Childhood is about being in the present, not just preparing for the future and we support children as they explore and make sense of their world.

As Early Childhood Teachers and Educators we recognise how privileged we are to witness children’s identities taking shape and to see the individuals they are becoming. The early years are when the  most rapid and significant growth occurs and we are excited to be part of the learning that will lead them to be able to participate fully and actively in society.
